"Home."

I am working on a project on the etymology of "home" and about what the word "home" means to people. Have you ever wondered why it's called 'home' or where the origin of that word came from?
"The word "home" originates from the Old English hām (meaning village, estate, or dwelling) and Proto-Germanic haimaz, referring to a home or village. It traces back to the Proto-Indo-European root tḱey- ("to settle, dwell, or be home"), emphasizing a place of belonging, community, or a fixed residence, rather than just a physical structure."
Have you ever felt home sick? or better yet, do you feel home sick for a place you have yet to go? Do you ever think that doors are portals into someones home? or have you ever dreaded opening your own door because you aren't sure what's happening inside?
What qualities make a space "feel like home" or "make a house a home" to you? Can you have more than one place that truly feels like 'home' and is 'home' really where the heart is?
